Hello, Fall!

At the beginning of the summer, I had a reunion that was a rude reminder that I have been out of school for 15 years. In those fifteen years, I have completely embraced  fall as the cozy footnote of summer and prequel to winter. I had replaced sharpened number two pencils, Lisa Frank Trapper Keepers and crisp new schedules with sweater weather, curling up under a soft blanket and sipping on the classic (or basic) pumpkin spice latte.

But this year is different. We have a preschooler now! We've spent the last few weeks gathering lunchbox supplies, monogramming backpacks and getting back into a routine. No more late sandy dinners on beaches when bed time happens on the ride home. We've had the last of our sunset walks around the neighborhood after bath.

This year, I'm mixing that hygge with routine and its making this the best autumn yet! So today, I'm sharing some photos of our new and old worlds colliding and some of the fall nesting that I've been doing. Happy fall, friends!

Popping the pumpkins in as subtly as I can!

I am loving this Dollar Store Vulture skeleton!

Pumpkins in the playroom.
Pumpkin garland from the Target Dollar Spot. Here is a link to their adorable kitchen.

Heading into his first day of preschool.

Day two: so excited to wear his froggy rainboots!

Halloween crafting. His favorite monster is a werewolf. He did this all by himself!

I am so excited for knee socks and neck hugs!

I was so happy to be able to wear this over sized Lucky sweatshirt. I love the sleeve detail. Here is a similar version.

Share your favorite fall rituals in the comments! I'm starting our fall bucket list and would love some ideas!
