Sustainable Style

At the beginning of 2019, I made a vision board and while I haven’t gotten chickens yet or won the lottery, I am proud to say that I’ve gotten my sense of style back. After honeymoon weight and pregnancies, I had started to lose myself and fashion was one of the first things to go. As someone who’s always cared about style, I feel so happy that I’ve revamped my wardrobe this year!

And I’m even more proud to say that the majority of the items that I’ve added to my wardrobe have been second hand! Funny story, I actually had to run in Marshall’s and buy new pants the other night because the thrifted jeans that I had bought were too tight. They must have been stretched out when I tried them on and then shrunk in the wash. #thriftingproblems

I digress. I love sharing my thrifting finds here and in instagram but I always feel a little bad when people comment about wanting this or that because obviously I can’t just give them a link to the item.  So I am very excited to share this shop with you all. Veronica of MnJUpCycledStuff makes amazing, one of a kind pieces out of clothing that would otherwise go to a landfill! And while you can’t get my exact top, you can find something similar.

How cute is this top? It’s perfect for this time of year!

And a little holiday look with my favorite guy to kiss under the mistletoe!

The quality is equally impressive! As a novice on the sewing machine, I can tell that this piece is very well put together. The stitching feels sturdy and everything is perfectly even! And the washing instructions are easy, too! Check out Veronica’s shop for more unique finds!
